  Today, October 1st, 2021 marks the Independence of the most populous country in Africa, Nigeria for 61 years.  Nigeria was formerly colonized by the British who were able to bring the three major tribes of the country together and named it after the river Niger. Heroic portraits like Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe and Obafemi Awolowo fought for the Independence which the country celebrates today.  Nigeria had been in a peaceful and prosperous term for the first three years of this independence, while Tafawa Balewa was the Prime minister, before the assassination of this heroes and the beginning of the country's current fate. Currently, Nigeria is in debt to some countries and the country's Naira has been overshadowed the price of dollar which is affecting her economy. Still, Nigeria has been able to make success from her independence being the most populous country in Africa. Nigerian Companies has also been one of the largest in Africa.
